It is common knowledge that Eid prayer is the biggest gathering in Muslim communities, where men, women, and children gather in order to enjoy themselves on the day of Eid. This year we may not be able to have a huge gathering due to the pandemic virus. The ASJA has published advisory guidelines for Eid Prayer In The Time Of Lockdown 2020. These guidelines were prepared by The Ulamaa Council of the Anjuman Sunnat ul Jamaat Association Inc.

The ASJA's Publications and Public Relations Committee has prepared and published the fasting timetable for Ramadan 1441AH (April – May 2020). All dates are subject to the sighting of the new moon, based on Shariah Law.

  • (i) The times shown to Stop Eating is 5 mins before the break of dawn (Fajr).
  • (ii) The times shown to Break the Fast is the actual starting time of Sunset. (the sun takes 5 mins. to disappear under the horizon).

Advisory Guidelines for Taraweeh and Ramadan 1441/2020

As we know, we are living in a time of "lockdown" and restricted movements due to Covid-19, and some restrictions have been implemented by the relevant authorities with regards to numbers of congregation. In alignment with the national directives of Trinidad & Tobago, the ASJA has published advisory guidelines for Taraweeh and Ramadan 1441/2020. These guidelines were prepared by Mufti Asrarul Haque - Spiritual Guide/Chairman ASJA Ulama Council.
